We have the winners!
We are happy to announce the winners of the first edition of the ideas contest You’re ON!, an initiative that aims to encourage innovation and discover new talents among architecture and design students.
This award recognizes those students who want to develop exciting and sustainable projects and find new innovative solutions to address the problems of the present and the future. You’re ON! is a way to reward the students who investigate, explore, create and come up with innovative ideas and concepts.
We have invited both undergraduate and postgraduate students related to the design sector (architects, urban planners, interior designers, engineers…) from any country to present their projects individually. Any academic or personal project carried out previously was admitted, as well as projects carried out specifically for this contest.
The first edition of the You’re ON contest has received nearly 400 registrations from around the world, a very successful outcome. The jury made a first deliberation in which 6 projects were selected as finalists. In a second session, we finally picked the 3 winning proposals.
We evaluated the projects based on the 7 values and concepts that inspire us and have identified ON-A during our 15-year trajectory: Innovation, Emotion, Laboratory, Geometry, Coding, Architecture, Design, and Technology.

The project also includes an app that citizens can install on their smartphones that allows them to identify which of their personal actions are helping to improve the sustainability of their environment. It was also appreciated that this project is a viable concept and can be executed.

You’re ON! is the result of the passion for innovation and the search for talents that drives ON-A on a daily basis. Still, the success of this event is also due to a combination of efforts and the sponsorship and participation of several companies such as Verdtical, Cricursa, and Kubbs, which have a close and solid relationship with ON-A. We have also collaborated with Actar publishers and urbanNext content platform.
In the years since we began, we have always been driven to keep training and stay up-to-date with the latest architectural trends and innovations. In our Barcelona studio, we create opportunities for talent exchange and knowledge sharing between professionals across disciplines. This philosophy is at the heart of the You’re ON! contest.
